Conroe Settling

Posted: 20110914 (Edit this Article)

We have finally moved into the Conroe area which is about 40 miles north of Houston and just south of Conroe Lake. We have been told that the lake has some of the best fishing in the country, of which we would like to check out soon.

Moving was hard. We filled the moving truck and went back to Austin four times to load up a pickup truck before we could finally hand over the keys and make the move final. Work was done in 80+ degree temps with the occasional hit of 77 on one cooler day. About 10 or 12 pounds were lost between Marcus and Marcilla.

We are now settling into our new apartment of which we have been blessed with the largest floor plan of our A-List apartments and the kitty is just loving the room to actually run. Marcus is loving the garage and it will be the first garage that has ever been used. It is small once a car is in it, but it closes and can be secured - Yea!

Marcus has taken the front room with the huge mirrored closet doors so he can remember to smile while on the phone while working remotely with his company to take technical calls and get people back on the Internet. Marcilla is on the dining room table while at home till we can clear box city out of the soon-to-be guest bedroom.

We do not want to put any more holes in the walls, so the new Elfa shelving stand-alone frames that are available from Container Store are an exciting option. We have priced out at a little over $1200 the framework needed for the current shelving of 8 feet high by 29 feet of sections that will be needed for the current library.

We have started checking out churches in the area and are looking forward to one that knows and teaches the Biblical Holy Feast Days on which our faith in Yeshuah is centered and G-d's timeline is exemplified. Soon, we may check out Lakewood Church, but it is so big. We do like the praise and worship team though and of course there is the pastor. Soon the Biblical Studies can be pursued again as the library is set up again and more will be posted here online as it occurs.

All of our billing including rent and water is now payable online, so everything can be handled from one spot with work, home bills and finances, and online blog life. This inclusion makes Marcus very happy of course. Obligations at the last apartments were handled well enough that a refund of over $250 was returned to the financial pot, so the next month of electric is already covered for one of the hotest months ever. We are so glad to reap that reward of financial diligence.

As we have more news to post, see it here. Sorry it was so long to post the updates so far, but as you know already the speed is not in my favor.
