This project is NOT complete - it is a work in progress. If you have questions about any of this, check out the WikiChat to the left for the Site Admin. He may be hanging out in there. You can also leave comments at the bottom in order to inquire about or help with this project.

Did you notice the title in Hebrew is read right to left in order to make sense? Just like in Hebrew, things are not always done as we expect. This is especially true if you have grown up in a Constantine-Indo-European-Anglo-Roman-Catholic Christianized church. We all know that our Messiah was Jewish. However, we pay little mind most of the time to the fact that Y'shua was walking Torah in the flesh and we are called to be like Him walking in His ways and keeping the Commandments to show our love of Him to the rest of the world. And those who are believers in HaMashiakh are considered to be part of the Commonwealth of Israel (Eph. 2:12).

"So," you may be asking, "if the penalty is paid and I am saved by grace even after not keeping the Law, what does it matter now?"

To that I would have to reply, "Ex. 20:1-5, Deut. 7:6-12, Josh. 22:5, John 14 (Spec. v. 15, 21, 23-34, 31), I Jn 5:1-3, 21, [Full List: Love+Keep+Commandments]."

And then, I guess I would have to follow up on that with Rom 6:1-2, 14-18, 20, and 23 with notes that the ones walking in righteousness were not slaves to sin and the wages of sin or breaking Torah were death except to those who believed in Messiah with never an admonition to stop keeping Torah Law. Even further, the whole letter of II John, Spec. v4-9 is all about keeping the Commandments and having the testimony of Y'shua at the same time as it plainly states in v5 about the commandment that the Believers had from the Beginning with inference to the time before HaMashiakh.

And, of course the example would not be complete without calling to attention the whole purpose of keeping them in the first place, and that would be for the purpose of life in and with Elohim as was taught in Matthew 19:17 and Revelation 22:14 (with a word of caution about Revelation 12:13-17 which talks about Messianic Torah-Keepers).

So now you believe in Mashiakh and His sacrifice to pay for the penalty that you could not pay yourself without dying in perpetual sin (because you can only physically die once and not twice) for breaking Torah Law and you want to show you are thankful for that payment. But there are so many laws in the Tanakh and some are not even valid any more because it is impossible to keep them. So now, what is a Believer to do? We already know that not all the Laws are applicable because many are the interpretation of man (like Talmudic Law and Mishnaic Expository, and others) and others are not able to be kept because the there is no Temple or the tribe of focus is extinct or other things.

Well, here may be your answer to how you can show HaShem (The Name) you are thankful for what He has done with offerings of practical praise and still not forsake the offering of sacrifice given for you or show it to be of no effect.

The following is a listing of the Torah Laws which are still standing as they are retaught all over the Brit Chadesha or Renewed Covenant along with a practical approach to where they are found, whether or not they are still applicable, and even where they are retaught in the Renewed Covenant. There will also be a comments section below to add items of study to the list to be looked at or to aid in its overall structure, insight, or points. This is your guide too, so help to build it as it is a work in progress as we are all called out to work out our own salvation in Phil. 2:12 knowing that HaShem will not forget the good works we do as is taught in Hebrews 6:9-10 - so have at it!

Lamed Messianic Studies is not associated specifically with Lion and Lamb Ministries or any other particular ministry. The Biblical Law listings from the LLM site are used simply because of the convenience of its Scriptural Order listing from the canonical text. Because this is the source of the listing, due credits are being provided for reference.
All listings with singular entries for Law Number are defaulted to the Lion and Lamb Ministries listing unless otherwise noted.
Note: Please find Comments below at the bottom (they are indeed down there). This is a working list and is very long. Thanks.
