Issue:
Sending errors in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007
Symptom:
Error 0x800ccc80 - Task 'pop.yourdomain.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC80):
'None of the authentication methods supported by this client are supported by your server.'
Problem:
Customer can receive email messages but cannot send them in MSOO2007.
Solution:
In the email client select:
Tools => Account Settings => Double click the account => More Settings => Outgoing Server => 'Log on to incoming mail server before sending mail'
It's not a program error. Checking the "log into incoming server before sending mail" fixes it. Checking this option only takes about a minute at the most. Unchecking 'My Outgoing Server Requires Authentication' works as well (SMTP authentication). Though, most ISP require SMTP Authentication now.
